TransPort 360, LLC, the terminal operator for the Port Authority of Kansas City (Port KC) and Port Authority of St. Joseph, Missouri, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Aaron Khouri as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 18, 2024. Khouri succeeds Bill Becker, who recently announced his retirement.

Khouri, age 36, joined TransPort 360 in the fall of 2023 as Vice President of Business Development, overseeing growth initiatives, promoting the Company’s services through marketing opportunities, and working to enhance freight utilization on the Missouri River.

Khouri came to TransPort 360 with over 13 years of experience in the barge industry, having spent nearly 11 years with Ingram Barge Company. Khouri started his career as a deckhand on boats operating in the Ohio, Mississippi, and Cumberland Rivers as well as the Harbors of Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York. He later moved into logistics service positions for Ingram Barge, focusing on dry cargo and tank barge logistics while managing tow design and commercial barge allocation. Before joining TransPort 360, Khouri was the Fleet Manager for Ingram Barge’s Baton Rouge and Reserve, Louisiana fleets on the Mississippi River.

In 2022, Khouri earned his Master’s degree in Maritime Administration and Logistics from Texas A&M at Galveston. He is currently the Company’s membership representative for the Inland Rivers Ports & Terminals Association and was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Missouri River Basin.

Together with Chief Operations Officer, Terry Kelley, Khouri aims to advance TransPort 360’s vision to be the premier facilitator of freight transfer and commerce within the mid-west region and on the Missouri River. As CEO, Khouri endeavors to progress the Company’s growth strategies and cargo storage and handling equipment profile, while continuing TransPort 360’s focus on safe, efficient, and cost-effective services for barge, truck, and rail freight.
